Recycle Your Old Running, Outdoor, and Athletic Shoes

recycle, recycle running shoes, recycle athletic shoes, recycle shoes, running shoe recycling, athletic shoe recycling, shoe recycling, running shoeIt is estimated that 300 million pairs of shoes are thrown away each year in the U.S. alone.  That is a rather disturbing fact when you consider there are hundreds of millions of children and adults across the world without proper footwear.  Seems a bit crazy to contribute even more to our busting at the seams landfills, when the shoes can be put to good use.
 
To help keep as many shoes as possible out of landfills and get them on the feet of needy individuals, Atayne has partnered with Soles4Souls (S4S).  The mission of S4S is "to impact as many lives as possible with the gift of shoes."  They fulfill this mission by facilitating the donation of used shoes to people in need across the world.

What to join in the fun?  Here are a few ways you can get involved.

  • Visit us at one of our events to donate a pair of shoes.
  • Find a S4S Drop Off Location near you to donate a paid of shoes.  If you email us a picture of you making your donation, we will send you a voucher for $5 off a purchase at Atayne.com.
  • Make a donation to S4S's Active Team.  For every $1 donated, S4S can provide one additional pair of shoes to someone in need.  $20 = 20 shoes.  $500 dollars = 500 shoes.  We think you get the picture.
